The Adult College of Barking and Dagenham are looking to recruit a multi disciplined Part time Tutor/Assessor, with experience of teaching and assessing Health and Social Care, Teaching Assistants, business skills and employability. This is an exciting opportunity to join our hard working and successful team to provide a high-quality provision of teaching to our learners and residents and help to develop this area of our curriculum.
 
The role will involve planning, delivery, assessment and review, providing educational advice and guidance (IAG); alongside course development. It will involve working independently as well as contributing as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for course planning and preparation, assessing and evaluation of learners’ work, providing feedback. You will be expected to deliver courses in person and online via MS Teams, across a flexible timetable and across different sites, offering accredited and non-accredited courses, ranging from complete beginners to qualification courses.
 
The successful candidate will:
• Hold recognised qualifications or equivalent in Level 2 English and Maths
 
 
• Hold or willing to work towards Level 4 Education and Training qualification, and hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Education and Training
• Hold a recognised qualification in Level 3 Assessing Vocational Achievement, or willing to work towards.
• Have subject specific qualification in Health & Social Care, Teaching Assistants, Business Skills & Employability or equivalent proven industry experience.
• Be able to plan, develop and deliver courses to adults.
• Be able to accurately assess learners’ work and offer appropriate developmental feedback.
• Be capable of adapting teaching to the needs of learners, including delivery in person and through MS Teams
• Show commitment to LBBD data protection and GDPR policies and guidelines.
