Job Description

Working as part of the Supply Chain team, this role is the interface between Customers, Suppliers and the factory, and as such is a key role responsible for order fulfillment within the agreed SLA terms. The role is to plan and manage the supply of parts and assemblies for Fast Spares to customers both internal and external, whilst maintaining key targets including On-time performance and inventory management.

This role is also a key member of the wider Planning Team and would require improving the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the delivery process and exceptional analytics skills.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Planning

Planning , scheduling and processing of new orders into the company’s ERP system in a timely manner. Plan both short and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs Managing the supply chain through consolidation of the various delivery commitments from internal cells and Purchasing into one agreed order schedule to meet customer expectations. Communicating impact of this to the relevant stakeholders. Inventory Management - To monitor and maintain inventory levels on key components & strategic spare parts in line with the company policy. Achieve inventory grading requirements, whilst meeting customer expectations regarding lead times and delivery commitments. Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure timely placement of orders and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery of materials. Work with internal sales team on availability of customer orders whilst maintaining dates of customer orders. Working with engineering change requirements ensuring these changes are made whilst maintaining Inventory and customer delivery requirements.  Collaborate with production teams to identify potential issues and implement solutions to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to material procurement, storage, and transportation. Provide support for the team’s initiatives towards Business Improvement.

Data Analysis

Analyse supply chain performance data and develop metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain accurate and timely material forecasts to support production schedules and inventory targets. Provide analytical support for contract negotiation with the third party vendor. 

Qualifications

Educated to A level or equivalent. Level 3 or above qualification in Manufacturing Planning or equivalent.
 

Key Experiences

Previous experience of working in a Planning role dealing with electro-mechanical products Minimum of 2-3 years of working in an engineering manufacturing environment

Additional Information

Key Competencies (includes skills)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required Experience using PowerQuery and PowerBI is preferable but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Knowledge of order and materials planning, procurement, and inventory management processes preferred.
