About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Store Support Assistant to join our team in Bristol. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various store operations to ensure smooth daily functioning, including customer service, stock management, and store maintenance. Your support will be crucial in creating a positive shopping experience and maintaining an efficient store environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their needs, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Support the sales team by managing stock levels, including receiving deliveries, unpacking merchandise, and restocking shelves.
  • Maintain store appearance by keeping sales floors, stockrooms, and common areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with setting up product displays, promotional materials, and seasonal setups to enhance store presentation.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies or issues with stock levels to management.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally, following store policies and procedures.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately, including handling cash and card payments.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals, including sales targets and operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of health, safety, and store policies to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about new products, store policies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in retail or store operations is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a retail or support role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and handling cash.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm for retail, and a commitment to supporting store operations.
