GSL Education Southampton Branch are excited to announce a wonderful opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant at a nurturing school in the charming area of Locks Heath 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing personalised assistance to help them thrive in their learning environment.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special needs.
  • Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive classroom.
  • Monitor student progress and share updates with teachers and parents.
  • Build strong relationships with students to support their growth.

Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
