About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Stalybridge. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with behavioural needs and ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioural challenges in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour intervention plans.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide a consistent and nurturing environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and learning.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with behavioural needs, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
