Are you looking to progress your career and you have an interest in adult and child mental health? We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian to join our small friendly, supportive team of mental health dietitians.
Full support and training will be given to help you move over to this exciting field of dietetics. You will have regular supervision and continued professional development (CPD). We offer a wealth of inhouse training opportunities and have good links with the local Universities. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the BDA specialist groups.
The post includes working with child and adolescent mental health units in Cambridge, adult and older people’s mental health wards in Peterborough and Cambridge, and some general dietetics for balance. You will be working within an MDT which includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Family Therapists.
The post holder must be able to drive as this is a community post, travel costs will be provided. We are committed to supporting our staff’s wellbeing and work life balance and so there may be the opportunity for some hybrid working.
Main duties of the jobPlease note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.
To deliver a specialist mental health role in the Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Cambridge & Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT).
To work as a dietetic practitioner within uni-professional and multi-professional team environments with regular supervision.
To assess and treat a case load of patients in line with the Model and Process for Dietetic Consultations and maintain associated records.
Deliver a high standard of dietetic care.To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work and workload
