Job Description

To engage regularly with all commercial aspects of the business, providing accurate financial information to the Board of Directors in a timely manner.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage regularly with all commercial aspects of the business and provide comprehensive, proactive, and value-added finance support and guidance to other Functions within the business. 

  • Support the preparation of monthly/annual (consolidated) management accounts for all entities, including those in the UK, USA, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and Europe.

  • Business performance reporting, including costing analysis.

  • Assist in compilation of budgets and forecasts: analyse and review expenditure and cashflows.

  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.

  • Ensure the group adheres to current accounting technical standards, provision of technical accounting opinions and hands-on approach in resolving accounting queries.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of finance deliverables

  • Support to the statutory audit, preparation, and submission of all audit deliverables on time and interaction with external auditors

  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns, such as grant claims and VAT.

  • Support and guidance to the Finance transactional teams.

  • Proactively identifying and implementing business and finance improvements and ensuring adherence to effective internal controls.

Desired Criteria

  • Big 4 experience

Required Criteria

  • Qualification in accounting CIMA/ACA/ACCA
  • Highly proficient MS Office experience, especially excel
  • Practical technical knowledge of financial reporting standards
