About the Role:

The Head Teacher and governing body of a well-regarded Primary School situated in Kirkby seek an experienced and proactive Primary Teacher to oversee PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) for five classes within the school, along with an intervention role. The chosen candidate will work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, providing support to students in Years 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Additionally, on the remaining half-day, they will teach a small group of Year 5 pupils, focusing on bridging gaps in their math learning.

The Head Teacher enjoys a high level of respect and recognition within the local community, and the school maintains a stable staff with very low turnover. The current opening has arisen due to the relocation of the permanent postholder, making it a potential temporary-to-permanent opportunity. It is ideally suited for an experienced Teacher seeking a part-time teaching role within a warm and inclusive school environment equipped with exceptional resources.

The school maintains a GOOD standard of behaviour, but the successful applicant is expected to possess excellent behaviour management skills and adhere to the comprehensive whole school behaviour policy.
