About the role:
We’re looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with various children with additional needs at lovely schools in Maldon and surrounding areas. Every day is different, and your role will be key in providing personalized support, helping the child with their learning, emotional well-being, and social development. Whether it's assisting with classwork, encouraging confidence, or making the school day more enjoyable, YOU will be their hero

Your day-to-day might look like this:

  • Supporting the child with their learning in and out of the classroom
  • Helping with specific educational tasks tailored to their needs
  • Building a strong, trusting relationship
  • Encouraging social interaction with other children
  • Using creative techniques to engage them (think games, art, sensory play)
  • Communicating closely with the class teacher and SENCO team

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with a positive, can-do attitude ✨
  • Previous experience working with children (especially SEND) would be amazing, but we’re open to applicants with the right heart and willingness to learn
  • A true team player – working well with other staff, parents, and, of course, the child
  • Patience, empathy, and a sense of fun

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
