Pay Rate: £12.05 PER HOUR

Day to Day Duties

As a NLGV Van driver you will be required to:

  • Complete your daily vehicle checks both before and after your shift
  • Work as part of a two-person team
  • You will be delivering furniture to customer's homes from the client's warehouse in Coatbridge
  • You will leave the item you have delivered in the customer's room of choice
  • You will be required to be flexible with start times as this role will be working one week with a 06.00 start time and the next week you will be starting between 12.00 and 14.00
    The shifts rotate weekly

Essential Skills

As a NLGV Van driver, you must:

  • Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
  • No more than six points on Driving Licence for minor infringements
  • No DR or DD convictions can be accepted, due to client’s insurance
  • This can be a physically demanding role, so you must be prepared for heavy lifting

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role would be an advantage but not essential

What training is provided?

  • You will receive training which will involve manual handling training, and you will be partnered with an experienced member of staff for a minimum of one shift to learn the role and procedures
