Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and innovative Registered Manager to be part of the development of a new 6-person registered care home for adults with learning disabilities and autism. The successful candidate will lead and manage our specialist residential service. You will be committed to ensuring the service is compliant with regulations and will also be focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred services to the people we support.

Ensureassociated risk assessments are undertaken and recorded and reviewed.Quality Assurance To take responsibility for quality within the service(s) by implementing andensuring compliance with the companys clinical governance and qualityassurance systems. Ensure all records and documentation are comprehensiveand reviewed regularly, including the recording of internal and external audits,ensuring regulatory compliance at all times.To develop and deliver an annual service development plan with your staff andthe people /families to ensure continuous improvement in your service.People we Support Lead by example in the provision of high-quality care and support byparticipating, observing and sharing experience in line with established personalsupport plans. Ensure that personal support plans are developed in a personcentred way that enables the PWS needs and personal goals to be met. Work with your local HRAdvisor and PDP to facilitate the effective recruitment, induction, training,coaching and development of staff, using the Access system as appropriate.Ensure that: Supervisions, appraisals and competencies are carried out in line withCompany Ethos and Values All communication mediums are utilised including team meetings, staffforums, notice boards, communication books and electronic platforms Rotas address service and staff needs in a cost-efficient way Staff regulatory and specialist training is arranged and attended in linewith Company and statutory requirements Staff are aware of and follow Company Policies / Procedures Management of employee relations matters such as capability, absence,conduct and performance are consistent and fair, in-line with theDisciplinary and Appeals policy where appropriate Complaints and grievances are handled appropriately in-line withCompany Policy. Local HR Advisor is consulted and involved in formal staff processes toensure consistency, fairness, equitability and reasonablenessResources/Facilities Lead the setting of your services annual budgets and ensure profitability of theservice by review, control and management of this budget. Justify allexpenditure and evidence income predictions, recommend fee rates for thepeople we support based on local market knowledge.Ensure that: Administrative systems, such as ACCESS are maintained Payroll information, petty cash and PWS finances are administered andreconciled in compliance with organisational procedures Referrals are managed effectively, including financials and contracts Fees are monitored and paid by all commissioners to avoid debt issues Review and manage expenditure against budget with Regional Director Profitability of the service by maximising occupancy, negotiating anappropriate level of fees, managing the service budget and marketing. Buildings, fabrics, furnishings and grounds are maintained to Companystandards The maintenance team are aware of any issues in a timely mannerOther tasks Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders includingregulatory bodies, inspectors, MDT, families and commissioners. You will have at least 3 years experience in a senior care management role at Registered Manager or similar level. Having excellent interpersonal skills is necessary and the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for a large multi-disciplinary staff team In addition, you will need to be able to evidence that you can provide inspiring, motivational, clear, and supportive leadership. Ideal candidates will have experience in commissioning into new services.-
