Were assisting them in theirsearch for a VAT Director to further strengthen theirwellestablished and highly reputable indirect tax team in Surreyand the Southeast. This position will be advisoryfocused whileoverseeing the compliance function working with a wide array ofclients across the SouthEast. Youwill be responsiblefor:
  • Leadingthe VAT team on all areas of VATadvice
  • Technicalresearch for a breadth of topics and keeping the wider tax teamapprised of technicaldevelopments
  • Draftingreports and letters of advice for a wide range of clients andindustries
  • Liaisingwith clients and attendingmeetings
  • Businessdevelopment including marketing areas ofopportunity
  • Managingand developing members of the VATteam.
AdvisoryExposure:
  • Leadingtopical advisory matters to clients across thepractice.
  • Advisingbusinesses on VATefficient structuring of theiraffairs.
  • Advisingon VAT considerations for internationaltrade
  • Implementingpartial exemption specialschemes
  • Adhoc advice on a wide range of VAT matters for the firm s diverseclientbase.


RequirementsVATDirector inReigate:
  • Youwill have significant experience providing VAT advice workingwithin a practice environment inhouse or atHMRC.
  • Youwill have had broad exposure to most areas of UK VAT with a workingknowledge of EU VAT requirements as they apply to UKbusinesses.
  • ACA/ ACCA / CTA or equivalent or qualified byexperience.
