We have a new opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our vans business, based in Stockton.

The Purchase Ledger Assistant will assist with the day-to-day functions of the Purchase Ledger department.

Here is a flavour of what you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Input purchase ledger invoices, credit notes, debit notes etc onto the computer system
  • Processing of invoices.- Scanning invoices, delivery notes and other documents to be uploaded onto our financial system.- Filing documents in a neat, disciplined manner.
  • Prepare and process payment runs as and when required
  • · Make approvals for payments on authorised invoices, credit notes, debit notes etc
  • Set up new accounts and amend existing accounts on the Purchase ledger
  • General Administration duties to include filing and sending emails
  • Any other duties as required by the Purchase Ledger Team and the Accounts Team

To be successful in this role:

  • Be a confident communicator and have experience in developing good relationships with a range of staff and customers.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and have excellent organisational skills
  • Have good IT skills, with an understanding of Microsoft packages.
  • Previous experience of working in a purchase ledger role
