Specialist Care Group are delighted to offer a Band 7 Team Manager role within our Community Acquired Brain Injury Service. Due to the ending of a placement and the creation of new roles we are pleased to advertise this team manager position.

This is a full-time role which covers 3 areas - Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside and is based at Monkwearmouth Hospital with the expectation of working between sites.

We are looking to recruit a proactive, passionate, and innovative individual who has a strong vision for services and likes to lead by example. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Specialist Care Group and the CABIS team and to be responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective and efficient care in the role of a Team manager, for the service users and carers who live within the local communities.

The role will contribute to leadership in conjunction with the senior clinical team within CABIS, to support the clinicians with day-to-day operational management, commitment to supporting the ethos of promoting recovery and maximising independence for patients and fulfil wider management responsibilities as required by the organisation. Experience of monitoring performance and quality and working within neurological services is desirable.

The role requires you to be a confident decision maker who can work both autonomously and collaboratively with others.

Main duties of the job

We provide excellent training and development opportunities to allow you to progress in the role and your future career. You will work as part of a strong collective leadership team and will receive both managerial and clinical supervision.

Skills and experience in the treatment and delivery of services to patients in Neurology and/or Neuro-rehabilitation is highly desirable. We would encourage opportunities to maintain your clinical practice as appropriate according to your skills/ experience as and when the core demands of the operational role allow to support the team with service delivery.

The Team Manager role is essential in ensuring that clinical services meet their operational and clinical standards through the development and delivery of strategy with the wider collective leadership team.

The role works closely with Trust employees to offer support, supervision and direction within their roles through established organisational processes and policies ( sickness, performance and flexible working policies). The role is essential in delivering a supportive workplace which supports staff to develop to their full potential.

The role includes service-level financial and budgetary management to ensure that services are meeting their clinical goals within a set budget.

The post holder will be a representative for the Trust and their service in multiagency forums and focuses on the development of professional relationships across agencies.

We are looking for a dynamic person, who is able to work well under pressure, is resourceful and has a keen interest in an operational role, to support the development and wellbeing of the workforce within the CABIS team.

As Team Manager, you should be adept in establishing effective working relationships with colleagues, and wider organisations, supporting engagement with interface meetings, whilst promoting collaborative working relationships.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

First Level Registered Nurse RNMH, RMN, RNLD or equivalent first level qualification Social Worker, OT, Clinical Psychologist, other. Relevant Post Graduate qualification or Training.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Experience of coordinating and managing staff resources.

Desirable

Awareness of human resource issues and budget management. Undertaking Joint Development Reviews.

Skills

Essential

Demonstrate leadership skills/delegation. Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict management

Desirable

Knowledge of RiO data systems and IT skills

Knowledge and Experience

Desirable
