The role of an  Classroom Cover supervisor is a fantastic way to get your foot in the world of teaching. When the  teacher cant make the class,  the Cover support steps up. Although not strictly teaching the class, you would lead and guide them through work provided and assist in understanding the topic and problem solving.

Protocol Education is a market leading supply agency seeking to hire individuals who are ready to step into teaching and make an impact within schools in the Newcastle area. No qualifications necessary, just the patience and passion to cultivate growth within yourself and your local community.

We work with schools throughout the Newcastle  and Tyne and Wear area who are looking for staff on both a short term flexible basis as well as longer term roles of up to a year. 

As an Educational Cover Supervisor your role will include,

  • Presenting cover lessons to classrooms.
  • Supervising and supporting pupils while they attempt tasks.
  • Aiding students in accessing and understanding the curriculum.
  • Monitoring behaviour and welfare of pupils.
  • Helping to ensure all students have access to equal opportunities.
  • To be vigilant in safeguarding.

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent interpersonal communication skills. They will be confident in front of large groups of people . They will have the passion and the drive to create a fun atmosphere for the class and push a positive ‘want to learn’ attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
