Teaching Assistants Needed – Primary & Secondary Schools in Wigan

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students in both primary and secondary schools across the Wigan area. These full-time roles focus on providing 1-1 support to students with behavioural and academic needs, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored 1-1 support to students with specific behavioural or academic challenges.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Supporting students’ emotional and social development, creating a positive learning environment.
  • Helping students stay on track with their work and encouraging progress.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for helping children succeed.
  • Experience or an interest in working with young people with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
