Lampton Leisure are looking for a number of swim assistants to assist our swimming teachers in their swimming lessons. Our swim programme provides lessons across a range of ages and abilities under the Swim England ‘Learn to Swim’ programme. Our swim schools run Monday - Friday 4pm – 7pm and Weekends 8am -2pm.

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher, alongside the Swimming Teacher, you will assist in the swimming lessons, assess pupils skills and progress, ensure any child safeguarding concerns are reported and carry out various administrative tasks associated with the position such as class registers.

 The successful candidates will:

  • Hold a ASA/Swim England Level 1 qualification
  • Be passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds to learn to swim or become stronger, faster or more confident when swimming
  • Have good communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, and their parents
  • Be able to adapt to lesson plans over time following on from training and support from your Level 2 Teacher

 

Don’t have a ASA/Swim England Level 1 qualification? 

Our next training course will take place from the 5th August, with 2 face to face sessions on 13th & 14th August, 11:00 – 19:00 at Hanworth Air Park. This will be a blended learning course, which includes 2 days on site alongside an online self-study programme.

We will be holding a meet and greet session at Hanworth Air Park on Friday 5th July from 4.30pm for any applicants interested in finding out more about the qualification and the training programme.
