NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire is an exciting, transformative, and expanding psychological therapies service looking to recruit a Senior High Intensity CBT Therapists in our South-West cluster. This post will be based in the New Forest.

We are a strong partnership service; comprised of a collaboration between Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Solent Mind charity. We strive to deliver a high quality, evidence-based, service user-centred therapy service, to the population of Hampshire.

We are developing our Long-Term Health Conditions pathway and working with those who also present with physical health related problems both individually and through our emerging group programmes; this offers those who work with NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire plenty of opportunities to enhance their job satisfaction by learning more about LTC's, or developing skills in their own areas of interest.

Main duties of the job

You will provide a combination of face to face and online based High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in line with NICE guidance. We value training and qualifications in other high intensity therapies and will support those wishing to develop their careers by training in other recognised modalities.

You will work with clients who present with a range of complex anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression related problems at step 3 for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. You will be required to carry out face to face, telephone and web camera assessments as part of your caseload and in accordance with service needs and demands. Where appropriate, you will provide supervision to the Band 6 Psychological Therapy staff.

This vacancy is offered as a permanent full-time contract ( hours); however, we are happy to discuss flexible working hours. There is an expectation that all clinical staff offer two late evening clinics per week (12pm until 8pm). The post holder will be based in the South-West team.

Qualifications

Essential

Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) OR Equivalent: A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology/ a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or a psychological therapy -- plus further post graduate qualification training in a psychological therapy which may be CBT or another IAPT appropriate evidence based therapy ( IPT) to at least equivalent of a post graduate diploma AND BABCP Accredited AND Significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competences as required.
