Sessional Tutor- ESOL

We are working closely alongside a LocalAuthority in Halton toassist with the appointment of aSessional Tutor ESOL on a1monthcontract likely to be extended at clientsdiscretion. Please apply with your CV forimmediateconsideration.

Rateof Pay: 27.80 34.77 per Hour

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the Employment Learning andSkills Division in Halton delivering learning programmes to adultsfrom a wide variety of backgrounds and in a range of communityvenues including schools community venues librariesetc.
• Be involved in promoting learningprogrammes to potential learners and to partner organisationswithin the borough.
• Prepare learning programmesincluding production of session plans and schemes of work for thoseprogrammes delivered.
• Maintain other records inline with the requirements of the Common Inspection Frameworkregisters contact logs learner feedbacketc.
• Monitor learner progress and achievementsincluding assignments and national tests/assessments in accordancewith awarding body requirements and offer learnersadvice/information about the next steps.

Qualifications:

• Specialist qualification (or extensiveexperience) relating to individual subject area (e.g. Membership ofInternational Guild of Artists etc.).
• TeachingCertificate (adults) e.g. Diploma in Teaching in the LifelongLearning Sector PGCE Certificate inEducation.
• Experience of delivering adultlearning within a range of settings.
