Cabinet Maker

Description

Dakota Hotels are looking to expand their team of
cabinet makers for the manufacturing, installation and restoration of high end
furniture/case goods. Based at our workshop in Eurocentral, you will be
required to work alongside our current team members, interior designer and
contractors to produce high end free standing and fitted furniture. Occasional
travel and work at our other properties in Glasgow, Queensferry, Leeds and
Manchester, so drivers licence essential.

Earnings are £16 per hour, paid weekly equating to
a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £33,200. The normal hours of
work would be 7:00am – 3:30pm but is negotiable and flexible, Monday to Friday.

 PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Competently
  and efficiently use woodworking machinery including panel saws,
  planer/thicknesser and a wide array of power and hand tools.
  
• Work
  accurately from designs/ drawings.
  
• Produce
  high quality furniture products in line with exceptional company
  standards.
  
• Comply
  with all company Health & Safety procedures.
  
• Workshop
  upkeep and maintenance
  
• Communicating
  effectively with colleagues, clients and supplier
  
• Providing
  support to colleagues and other teams in the organisation when and where
  required.
  

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Skills and attributes required:

• 
  
• Minimum
  of 3 years’ experience as a quality cabinet or furniture maker
  
• Experience
  in wood finishing, staining and spraying
  
• CAD
  SketchUp experience beneficial but not essential
  
• On site
  installation experience
  
• Ability
  and experience of working to deadlines
  
• Commitment
  to producing high quality work
  
• Competently
  and efficiently use woodworking machinery
  
• Work
  accurately from designs/ drawings
  
• Be able
  to work effectively as part of a team and occasional lone working
  
• Full UK
  driving licence
  
• Problem
  solving and attention to detail
