Quantity Surveyor

Manchester

An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Team at Galliford Try. 

Ideally, you will based in or around Manchester and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.

What you will be doing:

We are looking for an experienced Contract Surveyor to manage and procure the sub-contract packages, whilst gaining experience to take the next step in their career to a senior surveyor and becoming a key part of the Surveying teams for years to come. 

You will be familiar with JCT and have experience in managing and procuring various trade sub-contract packages. You will be required to assist within the Main Contract Valuation and the Monthly Cost reports.

Analysis of tender allowances The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts. Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting interim valuations in accordance with those dates. Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions Subcontract and Design Procurement Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts Assisting with Cost Value Reconciliations Preparation of cost to complete Cash management and maximisation Cash Flow and Turnover forecast Provision of standard reports Assisting with Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines

About You:

You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build; as well as sound knowledge of JCT Contract.
