Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled RE Teacher to join our network of supply staff. This role involves delivering engaging and comprehensive religious education lessons to secondary school students, helping them to explore and understand various religious beliefs, practices, and ethical issues. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work in various schools across Liverpool on a temporary or contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and engage students through dynamic teaching methods and interactive learning activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Promote critical thinking, empathy, and understanding of different religious and ethical perspectives.
  • Collaborate with school staff and participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in religious education.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of religious studies content, teaching methodologies, and curriculum standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
