We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled and proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team at the Academy site. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the compliance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and efficient breakdown repairs of a wide range of building services. As the Assistant FM, you will leverage your core specialist skills while also engaging in multi-disciplined activities within your scope of training and competence, helping to maintain a safe and well-functioning facility.

And as a Assistant Facilities Manager with Bellrock, you’ll do it by

Health, Safety, and Environment:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend statutory and mandatory training as required.
  • Work with minimal supervision and under permit-to-work systems where applicable.
Operational:
  • Investigate and rectify faults on various building systems efficiently.
  • Assist site services teams, participate in on-call rotations, and handle emergency callouts as needed.
Financial:
  • Assist in calculating and overseeing material and supply orders, controlling stock within company guidelines.

Reporting:


  • Complete job sheets and review action plans with the line manager.

What does it take?

  • Basic, general knowledge of electrical and plumbing desirable
  • Experience of PAT Testing procedures would be an advantage
  • The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required within the nature of the duties and responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate duties
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good team motivator


Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work on-site at Sir John Colfox School, Dorset, DT6 3DT. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch.
