Key Responsibilities
- Dive into diverse datasets to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
- Cleanse and process data to ensure accuracy and reliability in analysis.
- Utilise statistical methods to interpret and validate findings, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive reports to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics.
- Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability of analytical outputs.
RequirementsMust Have -
- Proficiency in the R programming language, ideally ggplot2, tidyverse and data.table.
- Advanced spreadsheeting skills, ideally google-sheets and Excel.
- A passion for data analytics and a desire to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- A Bachelor's degree in a data-oriented subject (statistics, econometrics, economics etc) and/or several years of highly relevant experience in data analysis using the above software.
Desirable -
- Previous experience using the SQL/Sequel programming language.
- Experience in creating compelling visualisations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Grafana software.
- Experience of data manipulation, management and reporting.
- Adept at solving analytical problems with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A passion and understanding of sports and sports betting markets/odds.
