The position of Class 1 Driver involves:

Deliveries and collections of bulk work to include scrap metals using a curtain sided or flatbed trailer, which will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.Planning route on a day to day basis.Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.Attending regular training sessions.You may be required to spend the occasional night out a week (tax free allowance paid).

Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:

Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.Working to deadlines.Confident, polite and a team player.Good geographical knowledge.Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Salary for Class 1 Driver is between £33,745pa - £38,667pa AND MORE depending on hours worked. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, starting circa 07:00hrs, working 48 hours a week.
