The Quality Inspector function will work under the direction of the Quality Manager in accordance with the Quality Management System requirements of the organisation. The inspector will ensure product conformity to customer quality requirements on a wide range of aerospace and defence products.
Responsibilities
Full inspection during product realisation.
Support the Quality department with NCR disposition.
Validate route card conformity to QMS requirements.
Review customer and internal inspection documentation to validate product conformity.
Quality decision making to ensure customer satisfaction on all product treated and despatched.
Desired Skills
Application of manual inspection tools to inspect product characteristics including micrometres, Verniers and plug gauges.
Experience of using CMMs (PCDMIS would be a distinct advantage)
Interpretation of Engineering Technical data include 2D engineering drawings and 3D Models
Observant behaviour to protect quality.
Understanding of AS9100 QMS requirements.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
Excellent decision-making skills.
Desired Experience
Background in an Inspection or Quality Function in the aerospace industry or similar.
Good Knowledge of 2D and 3D engineering drawings and technical data.
