About the Role:
Dovetail & Slate is working with a fantastic client who is seeking a dedicated and child-centred Registered Manager for their children's residential home. In this role, you will have the autonomy to recruit and build your own team of Residential Care Workers and Deputy Managers while leading the home in line with the highest standards of care and Ofsted regulations.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the children and young people in your care, helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment. With full backing from the Senior Leadership Team, HR, and Quality Assurance, you'll have the support you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory frameworks.
- Lead and manage a team of care staff, overseeing recruitment, training, and development.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans that focus on each child's physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
- Maintain and continually improve the quality of care through regular audits and assessments.
- Build strong relationships with external agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders involved in the children's lives.
What You'll Need:
- Significant experience in a leadership role within children's residential care.
- Strong Ofsted experience and a proven track record of managing successful inspections.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A passion for safeguarding and improving the lives of young people.
