Job Purpose:
ICBC Standard Bank requires a test automation developer to carry out automation of regression test scenarios for both front-end and back end testing. You are expected to work closely with Developers, Business Analysts and functional testers to understand the current system and implement automation framework from scratch.

You have invested in your own self-growth. You will have strong testing and critical thinking skills, ability to analyze risk, a proactive approach and a proven record of driving continuous improvement in teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical teams to understand the functional and technical aspects of the application. Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely delivery of new tests. Maintain and enhance the test automation environment as well as the suite of functional tests. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and be a self-starter. Be able to apply a range of techniques, tools and approaches based on the situational context. Deliver exploratory testing to resolve issues and meet new requirements, continually learning and adapting where necessary. Drive continuous improvements to Test Coverage and keep up with test suite's performance metrics

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values: Excellent communication skills. Experience in automation testing. Experienced in testing complex systems and comfortable with technical discussions. Experience in BDD and Specflow. Experience with test automation in .Net and TestNG. Experience with C#. Experience with page object model-based frameworks. Competent with managing and implementing CI jobs for Automation. Experience with test automation frameworks, particularly open source. Experience with API Testing. Working knowledge of SQL (SQL Server or Oracle) Working knowledge of Playwright.

Beneficial knowledge/experience

Understanding of automating cloud-based applications. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Experience in testing financial services systems.
