About the Role:
We are seeking a self motivated dynamic QA Lead to join our Fintech team to manage and enhance our client's platform modernisation .This is a pivotal role within the engineering team, focused on overseeing the quality assurance process to ensure software products meet the highest standards of quality before release. This role involves strategic planning, development of test plans and cases, and leadership over the QA team to maintain quality throughout the software development lifecycle. The Lead QA works closely with development and product teams to integrate quality assurance measures into the Agile process, ensuring timely and high-quality software releases.
The job holder will be required to mentor and guide engineering and QA team members to the development of automated tests, and ensure continuous integration flows and high quality is maintained. They should have expertise in software testing frameworks and CI/CD processes to ensure the delivery of flawless products.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of test automation frameworks for functional and non-functional testing Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle within the Agile process. Establish and coordinate test strategies with development/product teams. Design and implement test plans and test cases. Mentor and instruct QA team members, helping them make decisions and solve problems. Coaching QA in a team on QA testing knowledge, testing techniques, automation, QA process, CI/CD etc. Contribute to the maintenance and development of test automation frameworks and ensure the QA deliverables produced aligned to the test approach. Develop and execute automated UI and functional tests on real devices and emulators. Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team and Review test results daily and report issues. Enhance and maintain automated CI flows. Determine, negotiate, and agree quality procedures and standards Define and lead quality best practices and activities Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery Specify quality requirements in order to achieve satisfied quality level and support team to achieve project goals Define and explore test techniques and test tools to support team to achieve best quality of product Provide regularly quality report and feedback to team Manage meetings, set goals, provide feedback on testing tasks, and delegate testing responsibilities. The role will also require extensive knowledge transfer and coaching to build a culture of continuous testing and industry best practices across the organisation. Take initiative in solving complex technical problems and recommend original solutions and design approaches to platform requirements, making decisions between competing priorities.Key Experience :
Work and lead large projects. Extensive experience in IT quality programs and practices Assures the quality of and adherence to system/software product standards processes and procedures. Provides expert guidance to build upon quality assurance/test standards to achieve business benefits for all stakeholder groups and focuses on continual process improvement to sustain customer satisfaction. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities - ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition and decisions to stakeholders . Experience of defining & implementing Test Automation strategies in large IT organisations, ideally working in an Agile framework operating a CI/CD DevOps approach Has a thorough understanding of TDD and BDD techniques including Gerkin, Cucumber syntax Demonstrable experience of defining Non-Functional Requirements and developing performance testing automation frameworks Flexibility and ability to travel and work on client sites.Benefits
