AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for leading and managing the implementation of the relevant Academy policies and development plans as determined by the Principal and Hub Council and in relation to:
Implement and evaluate the strategy for improving student behaviour to ensure excellent standards based on the Oasis 9 habits Provide support for all student-facing Pastoral staff, including appropriate training and professional development opportunities Work closely with the Internal Exclusion Unit Manager to reduce the need for fixed-term exclusion and to manage the day-to-day running of the Reflect Provision Lead on the PEX/FTE process for students Liaise with Alternative Provision schools directly or via the Local AuthorityGeneral responsibilities:
The post holder will be expected to work in close collaboration and liaison with the Principal and the Deputy Principals. The post holder is expected to support the Academy’s aims, ethos and vision, to be familiar with Academy policies and procedures and reinforce these with all stakeholders as appropriate. The post holder shall have the professional duties of an Assistant Principal in accordance with the current DCSF’s School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document and wider responsibilities relating to strategic direction and development, leading and managing staff and efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources in consultation with the Principal.Job description and person specification attached for further information.
