Job Description

Are you a passionate Cover Supervisor looking for new opportunities, or a recent degree holder still exploring your career options? Step Teachers are collaborating with a Secondary School in Suffolk who are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to instil that passion in the school’s students.

Role of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain on task.
  • Assisting with the development of educational resources.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders.

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

  • 6 months previous experience as a Cover Supervisor in a UK school
  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in working with Secondary School students.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • The ability to adapt to various subjects and year groups.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • A relevant degree is desirable.
