We are seeking an experienced Project / Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the renewable

energy sector. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering complex projects

related to Steam Systems, Hot Water Systems, Heat Pumps, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Building

Fabric Upgrades, Solar PV, and electrical generation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams,

manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and ensure the successful completion of projects within scope

and quality parameters.

As Project Manager, you will be expected to provide ‘On Site’ guidance and management. You will also be

accountable for developing, supporting and delivering the project activities in a safe, structured and cost-

effective manner ensuring high standards of productivity/output are maintained and continuously improved

on.

Previous experience working at a COMAH site would be advantageous for this role.

Requirements

Particulars:

This role requires a strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Services. Experience in retrofitting /

refurbishing existing energy centre facilities, steam systems / power generation an advantage.

The Key deliverables for this role will centre on the effective site management of all projects assigned by the

Operations Director or Head of Construction.

This will be inclusive of but not limited to:

Pre-Construction Phase

• Develop project plans including scope, objectives, deliverables for all contracted works

• Produce procurement plan and milestone schedules in line with construction programme

• Develop project quality, safety, and delivery plans

• Liaise with Principle Designer to develop construction phase plan and HSE Notifications

• Mobilise site establishment

• Mobilise sub-contractors and labour in accordance with the delivery plan

Project Installation Phase

• Coordinate project activities and resources, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines and

objectives

• Communicate project updates to relevant stakeholders and provide regular reports

• Stakeholder Management: Engage and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

including clients, sub contractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, obtain necessary approvals and ensure

compliance with relevant regulations and standards

• Hold regular stakeholder progress meetings

• Manage project budgets including tracking and financial forecasting in collaboration with the

commercial team.

• Identify project risks, assess potential impact and develop mitigation strategies

• Ensure compliance with all Contract requirements

 Routinely spend time in the field monitoring, observing and assessing performance to maintain and

reinforce high standards of work.

• To ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

• Understand the requirements and actions needed to commission, performance test and handover

the project

• Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out in accordance with the Quality Plan and projects

specific requirements.

• Ensure all systems are demonstrated to Client and projects Building control officer where applicable

• Issue O&M manual format’s for approval prior to final submission Handover O&M manual and record

drawings.

• Prepare final account with the QS, submit and agree with client in line with contractual obligations

• Produce a project close-out report and submit to the Head of Construction

• Maintain contact with Operational team/client as required during the warranty period to provide

ongoing support.

Location:

The role is UK based: While the initial role will be predominantly based in the Yorkshire area, travel and

overnight stays may be required to suit future projects assigned.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

Previous project Management experience on UK M&E construction sites is essential. A minimum of 5 years’

experience within the Industrial/Healthcare/Education sector.

Ideally you will have HND/Degree level in either a Mechanical, Electrical or Construction discipline.

• You will be Safety and Quality Driven

• Hold SMSTS Certificate

• CSCS/CCNSG Card holder

• COMAH site experience an advantage

• NEBOSH certificate an advantage

• Proven track record of managing complex site based projects

• Microsoft Word, Excel and Project competency

• Able to manage own workload

• Strong team player

Experience delivering:

• Steam Systems and Plant

• LTHW Hot Water boilers and distribution systems

• Air and Water Source Heat Pumps

• Solar PV (Roof and Ground Mounted)

• Combined Heat and Power Plant (Reciprocating Engines)

• HV Generation, Transformer installations

• Energy Conservation Measure Knowledge (Heat Pumps, Battery Storage systems & PV array)

• Understanding of basic Civil works and setting out
