Main duties of the job

The role of the Research Delivery Manager is to work with the Primary Care Manager to increase opportunities for research engagement and delivery in primary care and non-NHS settings, ensuring that North Thames CRN portfolio studies are made available to under-served groups within the community.

The main focus of the role will be managing the set-up and delivery of NIHR portfolio adopted studies so that research participation is increased in Primary Care and non-NHS settings, including General Practice, community services, social care, voluntary sector, and care homes with emphasis on recruitment from under-served groups.

This post is hosted by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and funded by North Thames Clinical Research Network which forms part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) established by the Department of Health to improve the speed, quality, and integration of research, to ultimately advance patient care. The role is based within the Joint Research Office at CNWL and will be working across multiple GP sites and community organisations in North Central and East London.

Coordinating and supervising staff to liaise with key organisations, community groups and personnel in Primary Care and the community in order to publicise and promote research. Coordinating, maintaining, promoting and managing contacts and relationships within Primary Care and community services within the North Thames and North West London Clinical Research Network (CRN) areas inviting them to become collaborators in NIHR portfolio research. Developing, sustaining and monitoring capacity within Primary Care and community services, social care, voluntary sector, and Care homes to recruit patients and carry out NIHR Portfolio studies.
