We're seeking a skilled medical receptionist to join ourteam at Sandgate Road Surgery in Folkestone, Kent. Operating within our corehours of 8 am to pm, Monday to Friday, flexibility is key to covering forcolleagues during absences. As the primary point of contact for our practice,you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent customer service andensuring the smooth functioning of our medical office.

Job responsibilities

Warmly greet patients and visitors, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour at all times. Handle incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently. Verify patient information accurately and handle confidential medical records with the utmost discretion. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, emailing, and maintaining electronic records. Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate referrals and ensure seamless patient care. Uphold office policies and procedures to maintain compliance with relevant regulations. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Previous experience in healthcare administration or customer service is preferred. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems quickly.

Desirable

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer-focused working environment.
