Biffa has been at the forefront of the UK’s waste industry for over a hundred years, with operations that span the entire breadth of the waste management process including collection, reuse, recycling, treatment, disposal and energy generation.

You might be thinking, “I don’t have waste management experience?” No problem, we offer in-house, on the job training and instruction on the various vehicles we operate in our fleet, so your experience as a driver will be utilised and your skills and knowledge base will increase.

As with any jobs, there are essential requirements. For Biffa these are:

  • HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (must have previous Class 2 driving experience)
  • Maximum 6 points on licence for insurance purposes
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Driver CPC Card

In return, you will get:

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Driving a Class 2 vehicle (New fleet)
  • Residential kerb side recycling & waste collections
  • Adherence to all health and safety rules

What you will be doing

  • Completing daily checks as per our driver operator handbook
  • Taking care of your vehicle to ensure it’s in a clean and safe condition
  • Ensuring paperwork is kept up to date and handed in daily
