We have a thrilling opportunity for a passionate and innovative Business Intelligence Lead to join our team to manage an effective reporting, analytics and information delivery framework to enable data driven decision making, in particular supporting marketing and sales operations.  

As a Business Intelligence and Sales Data Senior Analyst you will work with the Leadership Team, colleges and central functions to design and build metrics, dashboards, and reports that support data driven decision making.  You will be leading the implementation and delivery of reporting using tools such as MS Power BI, SQL.  You will be responsible for building effective key stakeholder relationships by recognising business challenges and proposing analytical solutions that will help deliver our strategic objectives. A proportion of your time will be focussed on analysis and development of student recruitment data and providing insights to the General Manager, Marketing and Recruitment on markets, application and conversion trends and other insights to support successful delivery of our sales targets. You will support the development of strategies, plans, forecasts, and advice/recommendations on the basis of evidence and data  and employ data insights to investigate trends and business performance to generate insights or analysis to support strategic decision making and problem resolution.

Hours of Work: Full time, permanent

Location: Abingdon, hybrid or remote working will be considered

Business Intelligence and Sales Data Senior Analyst Requirements:

  • You are passionate about analytics and combine robust data driven methods with data storytelling and creating meaningful insight.
  • You have keen interest in and understanding of developments in MI and data insights and can champion the use of new tools and technologies
  • You have extensive experience and knowledge in SQL database technologies, Advanced Excel, MS Power BI and other associated reporting tools
  • You have experience in assimilating and translating complex data into effective management reports and business intelligence
  • You have excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, interpret and disseminate large sets of information and identify trends
  • You want to proactively share your skills, knowledge, and energy in order to achieve shared ambitions
  • You have great communication skills and can translate between 'technical' and business requirements
  • You have strong interpersonal, conceptual and creative thinking skills and are able to develop and implement pragmatic solutions to complex problems
  • You have experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels to adopt new ways of working.
