Charge Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Ward 2 Glenrothes Hospital to work as a Charge Nurse. Ward 2 is a 20 bedded ward that cares for patients with frailty and complex conditions requiring rehabilitation and discharge planning.
Working closely with the Senior Charge Nurse, the post holder will be responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe, effective, person centred care and professional development of the nursing team. You will require excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and demonstrate a commitment to improving standards of patient care.
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans, ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
The post holder has responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance.
You should demonstrate extensive clinical and professional practice preferably within care of the older person setting. A passion for the ethos of Community Hospitals is essential.
