Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Reliability Technician. The successful candidate will ensure effective & efficient contract operation, principally through providing hands-on reliability support with the objective of improving overall equipment reliability, availability and capability.

The role is site-based within our client based within the Pembroke area, the individual is required to be on site Monday to Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to) Conduct regular site tours, preventative activities and recommendations. Gain understanding of systemic and chronic failures and help develop plan to eliminate repeats. Provide support to the Contract lead/manager and be able to provide same level of service at any point due to illness or absence. Ability to adapt to the customers environment and learn from its method of operation. Failure symptom diagnosis & analysis, failure mode assessment, recommendations and reporting. Establish common trends between duty process design and failure symptoms. Presence during operations where applicable, detailed subsequent analysis, assessment and recommendations. Seal failure analysis, interpretation and logging of findings. Refurbishment of seals and components to as new quality as required. Condition and root cause assessment. Identify needs, arrange supply, oversee installation and provide subsequent training as applicable. Failure logging and interpretation. Effective management of change from John Crane’s perspective. Use of SAP, ServiceMax, C4C as required Component usage, delivery and replenishment using SAP system. Upgrade management. Assist in provision of 24 hour service and support cover as required (rota) Identify and provide direct training as required. Build relationships and develop intimate knowledge of people, processes, procedures and drivers. Form integral part of client’s in-house reliability improvement team. The Individual Local language requirements plus English. Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or Production equivalent experience. HNC/D or equivalent advantageous. Knowledge of Chemical Engineering and its impact on Machinery Reliability. Hands on rotating equipment experience and knowledge. Interpersonal skills and ability to get on with multi-functional and multi-nationality peers. Ability to write formal reports advantageous. An overview of vibration analysis, centrifugal pump performance & system analysis is crucial. Proactive problem solving. Dynamic self starter.
