To work as a registered mental health nurse in the in-patient setting of the Mental Health. The post holder will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude to working with people with complex mental health needs and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will manage their own caseload of patients, and act as an expertresource in the care and treatment of patients experiencing a range of mental health problems relevant to the area of practice.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 registered mental health nurse to work in a busy and challenging inpatient Dementia Assessment Ward.
Main duties include conducting comprehensive assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, administering appropriate treatments and providing emotional support to those in our care.
Staff nurses play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of patients while employing specialised skills in managing challenging behaviours associated with dementia. Effective communication and a companionate approach are essential for fostering a therapeutic environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
