Job Description

Revitalize and provide robust support for a criticalapplication integral to Fixed Income investors known as the FixedIncome Analytics Risk Management Systems (FARMS). This applicationprovides realtime analytics directly to many investors and powerscountless of applications including our justreleased nextgenerationPortfolio Management System Alpine. This application poses a highlevel of complexity with intricate business logic extensivemathematical computations and strict adherence to Service LevelAgreements (SLAs) and system availability standards. Successfulexecution of this role demands a solid technical foundation coupledwith active collaboration with business users particularly theGlobal Risk & Analytics team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead tracks of work involving high complexity missioncritical AWSbased java services & data applications
  • Learn about investment data from the fundamentals ofportfolio holdings to risk computations and models.
  • Lead the delivery of highquality business solutionsincluding participating in architecture design implementationtesting deployment and support.
  • Be a thoughtpartner to the Global Risk & Analytics team working directlywith Quantitative analysts.
  • Design prototypeand code new software components and applications based onfunctional specifications across the full stack services webclients infrastructure and backend.
  • Coordinatewith analyst teams and vendors to execute test plans and providesupport during user acceptance testing.
  • Modifyand enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality andto optimize them for performance.
  • Authortechnical design and support documentation

Qualifications:

  • Requires a masters degree (or foreign equivalent) inComputer Science Information Technology Quantitative &Computational Finance Information Systems or a directly relatedfield plus two (2) years of experience developing applicationsoftware.
  • Must have two (2) years ofexperience in each of the following (experience may be gainedconcurrently):
  • Software development usingobject oriented and functional designs to build faulttolerantproductionready systems.
  • Software developmentsupporting rapid paced delivery using the following languages: Java(11 or higher) and Python.
  • Working withmathematical models and concepts including linear optimization andstatistical analysis
  • Managing sprints andbacklogs through the development cycle using agile methodologiesincluding utilizing JIRA as the project management tool
  • Setting up configuring and maintaining CICD pipelinesusing Jenkins
  • Automating build test anddeployment process to streamline the developmentlifecycle.
  • Analyzing and optimizing complexSQL for retrieving data from diverse databases to generate reportsvisualizations and dashboards.
  • AWS Cloudcomputing including S3 AWS Batch EC2 ECS Managed RDS andCloudFormation
  • Will accept a Bachelors degreeplus five (5) years of experience developing applicationsoftware.
