We are seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at a HMP Lewes, a CAT B Mens prison.

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We provide critical and time-bound services to the Ministry of Justice and are looking for facilities management professionals that can make a difference to the sites and the people we are responsible for.

We're four years young and growing in the provision of our on site solutions to the prison service and want applicants who:

Hold electrical qualifications C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 In Electrical Installations or equivalent.

Ideally have C&G 2391 - Electrical inspection and testing certification

Have a certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition

Also hold plumbing qualifications C&G 6035, C&G 6189 and an NVQ Level 3 in plumbing or equivalent C&G

Have experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, steam and water systems

GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will transfer to a private sector provider/providers in Spring 2026. As the programme unfolds, we will learn more.
