  • Support theclassroom teacher in delivering adapted lesson planstailored to meet the unique needs of students with SEN. Yourinvolvement will help ensure that lessons are accessible andengaging for all learners allowing each student to participatefully.
  • Assist with the assessmentand monitoring of student progress providingvaluable insights to the teacher about individual learning needsand achievements. Your observations will help shape future lessonplanning and supportstrategies.
  • Facilitate oneononeand small group support for students during lessonsproviding additional guidance and encouragement to enhance theirlearning experience. Your direct support will help build studentsconfidence andindependence.
  • Implementstrategies to promote positive behavior and socialinteraction among students contributing to a harmonious classroomenvironment. Your role will be pivotal in helping students developessential social skills and learn how to collaborate with theirpeers.
  • Participate in trainingand professional development opportunities focusedon best practices in SEN support and inclusive education. Stayingupdated on the latest strategies and resources will enhance youreffectiveness in theclassroom.
  • Collaborate with amultidisciplinary team of teachers SEN specialistsand support staff to create and maintain individualized educationplans (IEPs) for students. Working together will ensure acomprehensive support system tailored to each studentsneeds.
  • Foster relationships withstudents and their families ensuring open lines ofcommunication regarding student progress and wellbeing. Yoursupport can extend beyond the classroom to help families navigatethe challenges of education for children withSEN.

Experience&Qualifications

  • Previousexperience working with children with special educational needs ispreferred particularly in an educational setting. Understandingvarious learning difficulties and effective support techniques ishighly beneficial.
  • Strong communication skillsand a passion for inclusive education are essential. Your abilityto connect with students and convey information clearly willenhance the learning experience for all.
  • Apatient empathetic and adaptable approach to supporting diverselearning needs allowing you to respond effectively to the varyingchallenges students may face.
  • A commitment tofostering an inclusive classroom environment where every studentfeels valued and supported in their learningjourney.
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS checkis required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students inyour care.
