The Role

Reporting to the Head of Network, the Network Analyst is an integral part of the network team which is responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of buses throughout Aberdeen. The ideal person will look to optimize supply and demand using data and provide key support to the Head of Network using data and technology to improve business performance.

Responsibilities

Collate and interpret data from various sources including Excel and Power BI to support decision making and make recommendations to the Head of Network Monitor and analyse service reliability and fleet utilisation across all depots. Assist network scheduler with SIPOC process compliance Collate and distribute Staff Notices to communicate all relevant service change(s) Help prepare documentation for Local Authorities and Traffic Commissioner for service registrations Attend depot meetings and record/share minutes and actions. Utilise our optimisation software which uses AI to produce outputs that generate new timetable proposals for scheduling team to review. Maintain strong links with the central Commercial Analyst to ensure Divisional collaboration and enhanced working practices identified. Generate and input Hours and Miles reports for internal tracking and budgetary updates. Ensure that all data exports and billing reports are completed in a timely manner. Other duties commensurate with the role as may be deemed appropriate by your line manager

Skills and Experience

Have prior experience in a similar role or be a recent Graduate in relevant field. Highly numerate with a demonstrable data analysis capability. Be interested in developing a career within the Bus Industry. Have a keen interest in modern software technologies with the ability to use systems and data to drive better decision making Excellent written and verbal communication skills A team player but also able to work on your own with strong attention to detail Excellent IT skills, proficient in excel. Be organised with the ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently.
