The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and responsible Night Porter to join our team and ensure the smooth running of the hotel during the night shift. The Night Porter will be responsible for managing guest requests, ensuring security and safety procedures are adhered to, and providing general support to the hotel staff.
Responsibilities:
- Managing guest requests and ensuring they are handled promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining security and safety procedures during the night shift.
- Performing regular security checks throughout the hotel.
- Providing general support to the hotel staff during the night shift.
- Assisting with any maintenance or housekeeping tasks that may arise.
- Setting up meeting rooms and other areas as required.
- Serving food and beverages to guests as required.
- Checking guests in and out of the hotel as required.
- Handling any emergency situations that may arise.
- Preparing reports for senior management as required.

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working in a hotel or similar environment, preferably in a night porter role.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of safety and security procedures.
- The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work evenings and weekends if required.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Set in four acres of beautifully landscaped and carefully maintained grounds, and its tree-lined driveway which leads you towards our exquisite grade II listed manor house dating back to the 17th century - Flitwick Manor.
Flitwick Manor, which is part of the Best Western Premier Collection also contains a walled garden, an arboretum and a lake along with a grade I listed parish church and grass-topped grotto bridge with classic and Gothic features concealing an arched room.
We’re just three miles from the M1 and have good links to London and nearby Woburn Abbey and Woburn Safari Park. Flitwick train station is just a mile away and trains run to London every 35 minutes.
With 19 elegant stylish bedrooms including three four-poster suites and family bedrooms, Master Bedroom with kissing baths. Flitwick Manor has a Two AA rosette awarded restaurant with a private dining or meeting room which can accommodate up to 58 people.
