People Solutions are currently recruiting for Van Drivers/Porter for our well-established home wares client based in Hoyland,Barnsley. This role will require the candidate to have availability to work between Monday and Saturday starting at 6.00am.

Day to Day Duties

  • Work as part of a two person team
  • Deliver to residential addresses
  • Handball furniture
  • Drive a 3.5 Tonne vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Abide by working rules and regulations
  • Work as a Porter/Driver's Mate
  • Available to work Saturdays
  • Help out in the warehouse if required
  • Load and unload vehicle

Essential Skills

  • Work well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Reliable
  • Ability to work in a professional manner
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Drive 3.5 Tonne vehicles safely and efficiently
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • No major endorsement codes

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working as a Van Driver and/or Driver's Mate for a home wares company is desirable but not essential.

What training is provided?

  • Health and Safety training on shift.
