About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Autism TA Primary to join our vibrant Primary schools in Hull. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment that meets the individual needs of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, individualized learning activities.
  • Support students with ASD in developing social skills and managing behavior.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Help to create a structured and predictable classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor and support student progress.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and areas of need.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities related to autism support.

The successful candidate will:

  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of autism and related interventions and strategies.
