Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership of the management of Software Integration Points for the Entire Vehicle
  • Plan Network Integration Points and work with Network and Communication Engineers to release the network file to the supplier base.
  • Plan Feature Maturity Roadmap through the vehicle build gateways. Plan the feature maturity through Software Integration Points.
  • Develop processes to maintain SW BOM, release SW to engineering and manufacturing.
  • In conjunction with the Principal Engineer for SW Integration & Validation, plan the various Network Integration iterations to improve the maturity of the electrical architecture.
  • Develop processes for planning and maintaining SW Integration points using ELM tools.  The processes need to map Feature Maturity to SW Integration points.
  • Contribute to DVP and Validation activities by providing the right information needed to plan Integration testing.
  • Represent the Electrical Architecture activity at all levels of the business. 
  • In conjunction with the Principal Engineer for Architecture, plan the SW integration points for labcars and Test Cars.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven track record of delivery of Electrical Architecture and Complex Software Defined Systems in the automotive or aeronautics industry.
  • Wide-ranging in-depth expert understanding of software features/functions, electrical architectures and systems design/integration.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Wide Range of experience in the use of tools to plan Software Integration Points and Network Integrations
  • Experience of multi-party project engineering, risk management, mitigation and recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of hybrid/BEV electrical vehicle systems and architectures would be advantageous.
  • Experience of system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma or similar framework (FMEA, quality planning, PPAP etc).
  • Articulate, self-motivated, inspiring individual who can work well under pressure. Demonstrates resilience and fosters good working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree.  Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered. 
  • No visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union.
