CLASS 1 NIGHT DRIVER 

Monday - Friday:  15.00 - 19.00 START TIMES 

£16.00 PER HOUR   

People Solutions are currently recruiting a experienced Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Carrington. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known client with plenty of ongoing work available. 

The ideal candidate would have held a VALID UK Category C+E Licence for a minimum of two years.

Day to Day Duties 

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to: 

• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintainaccurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption 
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills 

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: 

• Hold a valid UK C+E Licence (CLASS 1) 
• Must have a minimum 24 months experience driving a C+E vehicles. 
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes. 
• Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card. 
• Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English. 
• Experience operating various trailer types. 
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills. 
• Effective communication skills. 
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required. 
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. 

Desirable Experience 

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial. 

Training 

• Full training will be provided for this role.
