We have a great opportunity for a Student to join our Supply Science team Do you want to learn about the chemical, biological, physical and mechanical processes required for Drinking Water Treatment? Then this role is for you

What you'll do 

Are you motivated? Are you able to produce clear reports and engaging presentations, effectively communicating technical information in a succinct way?

Your main duties will include:

Improving our 'Upskilling' training documentation for every area of drinking water treatment; to include presentations, producing booklets and being involved with online digital-based training. Collating Water Treatment Centre information and producing site specific policies to be available for use by internal departments and visible to our external regulator, Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI). Assisting with the production of algal identification training aids.  Helping to optimise our drinking water treatment processes. 

What you'll need 

You will be studying towards a science, environmental, engineering or maths-based subject. You don't need any prior knowledge of the water industry, water treatment or many of the technical skills necessary, as full training will be given throughout the course of the placement, however, a willingness to learn and engage in these is essential.

Ideally, you will also need:

experience in report writing and producing attention-grabbing presentationsto be well organised and be able to manage and prioritise your own workloadto be comfortable lone working both in the office and on our Water Treatment CentresIT skills including Microsoft Word and Excela valid driving licence.
