Devizes, United Kingdom Aster Group Full time

We have a 6 month secondment opportunity to join the Neighbourhoods Team in Wiltshire as a Neighbourhood Assistant.

A key part of this role will be completing Neighbourhood Inspections of our blocks throughout Wiltshire, which will include enforcing our policy of zero tolerance and liaising with relevant colleagues to remedy any repairs or maintenance.

You’ll be providing essential support to the Neighbourhood Team in Wiltshire working alongside other Neighbourhood Assistants and being supported by a Senior Neighbourhood Officer.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment dealing with administrative duties and dealing with a variety of customer queries.

You won’t always be at your desk; you will be out and about completing neighbourhood inspections, so there’s a real mix of housing management exposure and an opportunity to further your current housing knowledge.

You may be expected to manage the Mutual Exchange process, make tenancy changes and update tenancy records alongside other tenancy queries, both by phone and email.

About you

You’ll have a background of working in housing management and understand the importance of delivering a safe and compliant landlord service, with experience in communicating with customers and able to have challenging conversations. You’ll be resilient and able to deliver messages in a clear way to our customers.

You’ll need to have a full UK driving licence so you can get out and about on visits and access to a vehicle to do so.

What’s in it for me

We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:

  • Flexible working – whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business’ needs

  • A focus on colleague wellbeing – workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, mental health training and a health cash plan

  • We invest in colleagues’ careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks

  • Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance

  • Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back

  • Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more

  • Enhanced leave

  • We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised recognition initiatives, and monthly and annual awards.

Interviews are planned to be held on 9 May in our Devizes office.
